Information

SPECIES YOU MAY CATCH
Below you will find a table of fish some of which we
commonly catch. Others species listed may be caught but the occurrence may be
rare. Clicking on a highlighted specie will take you to a page on that specie
and on tackle tips for catching that specie.
This is not an exhaustive guide, but is
information on what items you should bring on
your trip. For some people this may be their
first experience on a boat.
- Bring sunscreen,
sunglasses and a cap.
- Wear Boat or Water Proof
Shoes with none slip soles. Cheap Wellington
Boots can sometimes be a problem as the soles
do not grip to well.
-
Bring
camera/camcorder should you wish to photograph your
catch and want to release it. You may need a waterproof bag to keep that in.
- You may see these chaps in the channel.
They always make a good photograph. You just
never know you may even come across a whale!

-
If you are
prone to seasickness take a
seasickness remedy the night before and 1hr before arriving at the boat. We
recommend Stugeron Tablets which are available from any Pharmacy. They are non
drowsy. -
Wear of bring seasonal clothing i.e. Light rain gear. Always
bring warm extra clothing in case you should get wet.-
Do not over
indulge (DRINK ALCOHOL) the night before the trip, nothing's worse than a
spoilt day due to induced illness.
-
Bring plenty
of food and beverages.
We have a oven to warm food and we provide a bottomless cup of tea. -
Lastly bring a
cooler for your fish if you wish to take fish home. Make sure it contains
plenty of ice to keep your catch in tip top condition.
Fillet your fish at sea if it's not to rough, pack into a plastic bag zip loc
bag and put into your iced cooler.
